Badan Pengatur Hilir Minyak dan Gas (BPH Migas) mengungkapkan, badan usaha di luar PT Pertamina (Persero), seperti Shell dan Petronas, kini dimungkinkan menjual bensin setara premium berangka oktan 88. Menurut Anggota BPH Migas Agus Budi Hartono di Jakarta, Jumat (26/12), hal tersebut dimungkinkan menyusul harga bensin oktan 88 di pasar internasional yang rendah sekarang ini. "Aturan yang ada sudah membolehkan badan usaha menjual bensin berangka oktan 88. Jadi, kalau Shell atau Petronas bisa jual Rp 5.000 per liter atau di bawahnya, boleh saja," katanya. Namun, menurut dia, badan usaha tersebut tidak memperoleh dana subsidi seperti halnya PT Pertamina (Persero) yang sudah ditunjuk sebagai satu-satunya perusahaan yang berhak menjual BBM bersubsidi di seluruh Indonesia.
